Pregnancy Counseling
We do free UCG urine pregnancy screens Monday through Thursday.
We accept first morning urine specimens at the clinic between
9am and 2:00 pm. The UCG urine pregnancy screen should pick
up a pregnancy within 5 weeks of a woman's last normal menstrual
period (or 3 weeks since conception). We perform a more sensitive
urine pregnancy screening for a $10 fee which should pick
up a pregnancy within 10 days of a woman's LNMP (or 1.5 weeks
since conception).
Pregnancy Options Counseling
We have specially trained counselors who are happy to discuss
an unwanted pregnancy with a woman. A counselor will explore
a woman's options with her, and when needed, she can refer women
to other clinics or agencies. Whether a woman chooses a termination
of her pregnancy, adoption, or parenthood, our staff will help
you assess your needs and make the choice that is most suited
to your particular situation and your goals. We support your
right to make informed decisions about your reproductive future.
- Well-Woman
-
- Every Monday evening we see patients for a wide range of
gynecologic health care needs including: bimanual pelvic exam,
pap smear, breast exam, pelvic sizing exam, ultrasound, STD
screening and treatment, and post-abortion follow-up exams.
We welcome follow-up patients who have had an abortion elsewhere.
We encourage all sexually active women to use an effective
contraception method. During Well-Woman clinic, we do diaphragm
fittings, Depo-Provera shots, and renew prescriptions for
birth control pills. We take appointments from 4 pm until
5:45 pm. Each patient will have the opportunity to sit down
with a counselor prior to seeing the physician to discuss
her particular needs and have her questions answered.
